Family outing at Sentosa

We had lots of fun at Sentosa!

Ah Gong and Ah Ma were very daring. Ah Ma let the monkey step on her head. Ah Gong hi-fived with the monkey.

A tour at Sentosa Island on 05/06/2009

It was Friday and Daddy said that he was bringing me to Sentosa Island again so I don't have to go to nanny's place....Yipee!
After a sumptuous fare at the Singapore food restaurant, we took the sentosa bus to the Palawan beach...

Daddy bought me a big turtle float....actually i wanted a dolphin float, but daddy said the turtle was just right for my size as it won't capsize so easily...
Jie Jie in the store helped me to inflate my turtle and u can see my happy face as the turtle began to take its shape...

Just opposite the beach was the Palawan AmphiTheatre for the animal show. There were not many variety of animals there as compared to those at the Singapore zoo, but the sight of the monkey and parrots still roused my attention. I could feel the adrenalin rush in me during the phototaking session with the monkey. This monkey does look like the one I saw last time....









The animal trainer said that it was tamed and it was different from those monkeys which wander wildly on the island. Still, the last encounter with the monkey at Sentosa Island was not a pleasant one as I remembered vividly how it snatched away my hotdog. ..... :(

After the close encounter with the monkey and macaw, daddy let me have a go at the little pond...with my new turtle float.....






Somehow I didn't quite enjoy it after a while. You see, it was so odd sitting on such a big turtle on such a small pond....and with so many eyes on me...:( So I told daddy and mummy that I wanted to go home....

Nevertheless, though the day was hot and humid, I have enjoyed every bit of it....

Close encounter with an unexpected guest

This was my second visit to Sentosa... The weather was so hot. Daddy bought drinks and snacks for us. We were resting and munching our food when out of the sudden, a monkey jumped onto our table. We were stunned and before we could react, it reached out its hand and snatched my share of the hotdog sandwich. I was so scared that I quickly scrambled down the bench and hide myself behind mummy. The monkey took a few bites on the sandwich and ran off to the next table, eyeing for it's next target.

I was very angry, really very mad at the monkey. It stole my hotdog sandwich!! I held to mummy closely, but still my eyes were glued on the monkey, wondering what other mischief it was up to. It was chased and shooed away by several more people. After a few unsuccessful tries, it gave up and trotted off. To make up for the stolen hotdog sandwich, Daddy bought a bowl of cold ice jelly for me and mummy.... Daddy said this time he will watch out for the monkey and will shoo the monkey if it came over again....

The monkey didn't make its second appearance again. Mummy said it went off to sleep.... But i was quite sure that it was still somewhere around so I finished my cold jelly in just a few minutes....
