"Mummy, I have waken up." Nothing unusual if he did not actually wake up in the
middle of the night. The jet lag had really affected the two little ones. I
tried as hard as possible to get him to sleep but to no avail.
"Try to get some more sleep, it's still very early..." Still half-asleep, I
tried to convinced him to go back to sleep.
"But mummy, I am not sleepy, I want to do my homework, pleaseeee, can I?" He
pleaded with me.
"Good boy, try to go back to sleep, mummy needs to work tomorrow..." Trying to
ignore his whimming and whinning.
One minute later.
"Mummy, I had slept a little bit more already, can I do my homework now? Can I,
Mummy?"
After another 10 minutes, i finally gave up. I woke up and looked at the clock
on the wall. It's 4.30am in the morning. Alamak, still so early.
I let him brush his teeth and made his breakfast for him 'cos he said he was
hungry.
The next moment, I hear voices from another room, and not surprisingly, the
younger one came scurrying out of her room. Following behind her was her grandma,
looking wanning and tired.
"Gou Gou, gou gou." She was so happy to see her gou gou in the living room.
"She heard her Gou Gou's voice," my mum told me that Meimei also woke up in the
middle of the night, trying to get her way out of the room.
This went on for the next 3 days. The jet lag has really disturbed their usual
sleeping routine. Wonder how long they will need to re-adjust to their normal sleeping routine.
