It's Thursday and mummy was so tired cos of fever and bodyache.... Went to see doc and decided to decided to take a rest the next day as fever still not subsided...

Early Christmas celebration at JBP!!

Went to Jurong BP on the hari Raya haji, 20 Dec. Urgg, it's raining again...No luck leh...but on the flip side of the coin, because it's raining, there were very fewer people at the Bird Park... Hoping that the rain might stop after our lunch, but sigh..., it still continued to rain non-stop.

Our first stop was at the penguin 'home' . This was still under renovation during our last visit. We were lucky this time... They were so cute. Mummy was so tempted to cuddle them..


We stopped at the cafe to have a cup of hot latte for a short break after our stroll inside the Lorie Valley.

After that, we went for one of the bird talent shows. Luckily the rain had almost stopped by now... so mummy could actually video some special moments for Kristine Jie Jie to see too. * We missed this show the last visit to the BP as it's also raining..*

Saw a lot of birds...Mmmm, see whether mummy can still remember or not... Hornbill, the Ostrish, the parrots, the owls, the vultures, eagles, the white and pink pelicans..... Nvm, soon you will be able to name some of them..

Also brought you to the splash park. Too bad there weren't any activity going on..., just a few kids playing with the water splashes.... It would be more fun if Kristine will here...

Your Jiu Jiu is on TV!

When we knew that your Jiu Jiu will appear in one of the drama shows in Channel 8. We were really enthusiastic, ok, we were curious to see how your Jiu Jiu's 'special performance' on the TV. So when he told us to stay tuned to the TV last nite, we really stayed tuned. We saw the fruit stall and we saw Li Nan Xin called out to your Jiu Jiu,"Ah Liang, wo3 de4 xi1 gua1 ne1?" Your Jiu Jiu replied, "Lai2 le4!" Too bad, we could only see a bit of his side view when he went in to get the watermelon...

Potty Training

Didn't really put you to any potty training... Tried that day but you just cried and finally mummy just let you stood and poopoo.. Maybe the timing was not right. Nvm, we shall try again, ok Aldric? Think mummy will have to rely on your caretaker on that...

Your first stamp on your passport!

Brought you out of the country for the first time last Saturday.. You just earned your first stamp on your new passport!! As this was only a short trip, we didn't bring your stroller... That's why mummy had to carry you when you fell into your slumber.. Bought 2 nice shirts for you.. Tiring..but fruitful trip...

Christmas is here...

Mummy says it's near christmas time again.. But Mummy what is christmas?
Is it the time when we can see a lot of Christmas tree and glittering stars and balls on the trees? Had seen a lot of trees at the shopping mall...

Xiang Xiang

Poor Xiang Xiang...think he is alergic to something. His eyes were swollen when we saw him on Sunday. He was running a fever the night before.. Heard he had "mosquito bites" all over his body too...

Jiu Jiu suspected it's due to the honey that he had fed him before he went to sleep on Sat night...

Morning Breakfast at IKEA

Went to IKEA to have our breakfast. Too bad your Kristine Jie Jie was not able to join us. Saw another mother with her baby and her 2 other children. Was surprise that she was totally indifferent to the baby's cries. At first Mummy wanted to go over to tell her that her baby was crying... but later found that she was aware and she just ignore the cries and continue eating with her husband and children...

If the baby were Aldric, don't think I could bear that...

Playing with Kristine on Saturday

You love to play with your Kristine Jie Jie. Both of you will hide behind the curtains and expect us to come searching for you two.
Your Kristine Jie Jie was angry when we went back home that Saturday...She didn't even give us goodbye kiss. She asked why are we going back?
She said that you could stay and played with her, why must you have to go back home? Your Kristine Jie Jie was not taking ride home as she and her mummy were staying over nite at grandma's place.

Fruit Stall no more...next year

Next year new year will be the last time we sell mandarin oranges at the market. It's quite sad as those will become memories forever and you won't have a chance to help out your Ah Gong at the market... Your Daddy is thinking of using the market as training ground for you leh.

Anyway, your Ah Gong and Ah Ma can retire finally and enjoy their lives at home. So good for them too.

Your MMR Vaccination

You went for your MMR Vaccination early in the morning. Mummy tried to distract you but unsuccessful as you were already attracted by the long needle. You cried when the nurse poked the needle into ur left arm..

Visit to Jurong Bird Park Again on 20 Dec 2007

Daddy said he was going to bring you to the Jurong Bird Park for the 2nd time on 20 Dec 2007! Aren't you excited? You would love it as you would be able to see a lot of beautiful parrots, peacocks and of course, you may get a chance to feed the birds too!

Jiu Jiu's Big Day

Fever...

Your nanny is complaining that your stool is too soft and advise daddy and mummy to change your milk formulae to pediasure... But your daddy had stocked up a lot of Dumex and Gain IQ lehh.. How?

Peek-a-Boo / Hide and Seek

You like to play peek-a-boo and hide-and-seek nowadays.. You like to go to the corner and hide there and wait for mummy to find you. You are so cute and sometimes you can just hide there for so long until mummy had to go and grab you...

Yesterday, you kept use your head to bang agst mummy's head. You seem to be enjoying yourself so much that you only fell asleep till 2+am. You not tired but mummy was very tired leh...

XiaoJiuJiu is finally getting married!

XiaoJiuJiu is finally getting married! Yeh Finally I am really looking forward towards this special occasion. Heard that all my cousins will be there, and I will also get to see a lot of relatives whom I have never met before! Of course, most importantly I can also eat my favourite fish and play with my cousins there.

Count down to this special day. What should I be wearing mummy?

The wedding banquet will be thrown at the Jade restaurant. My mummy said that that was also the same restaurant that they threw their wedding banquet 2 years back. Time fliew, and I am already 1 year plus! The restaurant had undergone a great transformation. Now they can also play slideshow and video clips and the room is more spacious and there are flowers on each table and a nice changing room too.

You like to be scratched at the back!

You were very active and often you don't want to go to sleep though we can all see your 'eye bags'. Mummy still had had hard time trying to get you to sleep. Recently, mummy found that besides using the milk, another way is to scratch your back! You will soon fall into slumberland after scratching your back for 5 minutes! Wow, that is a great discovery leh. Actually your Kristine and Xiang Xiang also like to be scratched at the back...

Good. Hope this will work always, ha.

To our dear Aldric...

Parenting is not easy even though we are mentally prepared when you come along. Though we always tell ourselves that we want to be the exemplary figure whom you could look up to, but it is really not easy....

We had a lot of sleepless nights...you cried and threw up, sprewning over the place... But as you grow up day by day, we were really glad to have you with us as you really change our lifestyles.

Looking forward to the day that you can call us "Mummy" and "Daddy"!

The Great Dane

Brought u to the dog farm on Saturday, 22 Sept 2007. Saw The Great Dane at one of the dog shops. It's so big. According to the shopowner, it is the same species as Scooby Doo. It's around 60kg, can you imagine that. And surprisingly you were not scare of it. Ok lah, just a bit, but you still tried to touch it with your hands. You are a brave boy, mummy a bit scare though. Imagine if you Kristine jie jie were to see it, what will be her reaction like?

found that u are scared of the cane. Is it because u got beaten before? Did ur nanny use that to discipline u? Seems like it's quite effective. When daddy took the cane out, u immediately sit there quietly. Think mummy can use that too if you are naughty.. :o). Cannot spare the rod or you'll be spoilt. So u be good ok..

Baby's first tooth

First pearly white tooth emerged in begining of April. But your fourth tooth only emerged sometimes in june. Remembered your daddy called back from Batam, mummy reported to him that your fourth tooth finally come out!
As at to date, 30 August 2007, you have 5 tooths, 3 above and 2 below.

Learning to stand and walk - 9-11 months old

Don't exactly know when you start to learn to stand on your feet without holding and walk with support. Before mummy realise that you could balance yourself, you already started walking 1 to 2 steps. Mummy still remembered that because Grandma was babysitting you at that time, ya, you started walking on your own around the 3rd week of July. Wow, after that, mummy will have to chase you when changing diapers for you!

20/02/07 - Down with flu and cough on the third day of the Chinese New Year. We brought you to Elias Mall to see the doc there. Cost us $70 for the consultation fees and medicine.

25 August 2007 - 爸爸说要带我给动物看..Family Day at Mandai Zoo

This is the 3rd time we brought you to the zoo. Dad was very excited and wanted to bring you to the zoo for the 4th time next month!

Not sure if you could still remember the first time we brought you to the zoo with Kristine jiejie. Actually it should be the second time. The first time we brought Kristine jiejie to the zoo was in 2006 when Kristine just learnt how to walk, if I could recall correctly, it should be sometimes in Apr 2006. You were not born yet then. Mummy, with you inside, plus daddy, Yiyi and Kristine.

The second time you went to the zoo with your Yiyi and Kristine, you were only 5 months old!

This time round, your GuGu got us the free tickets to the zoo. Luckily you pooed in the morning.. at least mum need not worry that you will poo again though you might..

He poos early in the morning while still asleep... his nanny said he pooed 4 times yesterday!

23-August 2007

bb turns 1-year old today... so fast... he is now walking and picking up whatever things that he sees on the floor and eating them.
Still remember him eating the leaves on the floor when i was not looking...
We celebrate his bday 1 day earlier yesterday. He doesn't like chocolate cake. Just like me.. But he sure likes his new toys... see how he bites them., our little monster.
He still clings to me a lot.... wonder why not to his daddy.?? SB is jealous man!!
forgot when his first pearly tooth come out.. Ya, just verified with his dad, when his dad is at Batam! i discovered that his first tooth came out!
Quite enjoy playing with him though he can be bery violent!!

Decided to blog this to capture all the happy moments with our little one. Every day is so busy and tiring. But when u see him smiling at u, your heart will melt.
Having Kristine and Ah Xiang around as his playmate also helps to stimulate his skills to interact with others. thou he can be quite violent at play, throw his toys scattering all over the room.

NDP Preview 2007 at Marina Bay

We are lucky to have the NDP Preview tickets for 2007. This is the first year that we celebrated the NDP 42 birthday together with you!
Different from previous years, this year we are having our NDP at Marina Bay!
Too bad, this year we could not bring Kristine Jie Jie along as we only have 4 tickets. Your Kristine Jiejie was very disappointed when she knew that she was not coming with us. We brought your jiumu thou. Guess you must be over exhausted as you fell into your slumberland in the middle of the show.
Woke you up to see the fireworks but think you are scare of it. Nevermind, when you grew up, you will love it defintely!!

Dislikes and Likes

You don't like to drink water. In fact you don't like to bathe too initially Found that you are afraid of water. Could it be the water is too hot for you? Your Kristine jiejie is just the opposite, she loves to drink water a lot, you know.
She loves to drink so much that she even drank her bathing water after her bath!

You like to be carried upright, facing outwards. Whenever we tried to carry you lying down, you would protest!

15 May 2007 - Down with flu and cough again!

Down with flu and cough again. This time round, we brought you to see the doc opposite our place. Went to see 3 times. You had such a bad flu and cough. Poor bb, have a hard time going to sleep. Take almost 2 weeks to recover completely.

Learning to Crawl - 8 months old

You started crawling with one leg, your dad said so. Then slowly with 2 legs.

You fell off the bed...April 2007

Fell from the bed when mum went to make your milk in the middle of the night.. Poor BB, don't know where you hurt yourself... hopefully u didn't hurt your head...

Repeat the same episode the second time again in the same month! (*Got scoldings from your grandma and grandpa. Finally we decided to make your own bed on the floor.)

Dad managed to get the tickets to Jurong Bird Park.
The weather was not so good as it drizzled on that day so we had to cover your stroller...
You want to visit again? Guess now you are very sensitive to the word 'bird'. Always use that magic word on you and it works!
Unfortunately, your Kristine Jiejie fell sick the next day after the visit. Think it's the rain lah...
